The fear to look within – Excerpt from “A Course in Miracles”

In this video, Kenneth Wapnick begins to look at the "second step of forgiveness" (the steps are not numbered in the Course but Kenneth has numbered them for teaching purposes) and he introduces the concept of the student's fear to look within the mind based on the ego's counsel that an angry god awaits him there.

The ego's counsel of "don't look" is answered by Jesus' counsel to "just look." Kenneth prepares students by reminding them that in order to get to the light, they must go through the darkness, but also reminds them that Jesus teaches that the Holy Spirit will lead us through this "circle of fear" and that God is on the other side.
