Unconscious connection between thought and belief

To dissolve the ego, it’s crucial to examine how its thought system transforms certain thoughts into deeply embedded beliefs. It’s not egoic thoughts that govern you but rather your belief in them.

These delusional thoughts, stemming from what Jesus calls “the tiny, mad idea,” arise from the notion of separation from our Source. This belief projects the illusion of bodies, the world, and all limited perceptions we experience.

Yet, thoughts only hold power through our belief. For example, if a thought says, “You are a banana,” you dismiss it because you don’t believe it. Similarly, egoic thoughts lose their influence when you stop believing in them.

However, when you give belief to a thought, it strengthens, creating a self-reinforcing loop that aligns experiences with this delusional cause, keeping you trapped. This is like stubbornly believing you’re right without question.

False causes produce insane effects, and only by questioning and releasing these beliefs can you see beyond them. The Holy Spirit, the whole and healthy part of your mind, corrects these mistaken beliefs because Truth is direct: “The effect never leaves its cause.”

Meditate on this truth; it will unravel illusions. All chaos originates in your mind. Identify the root causes, recognize the errors, release them, and the effects will transform, revealing a new perception of the world.

You’re not powerless over your beliefs—you created them, and with willingness and divine assistance, you can undo them.

Ultimately, believing you’re human or believing you’re a banana isn’t much different. Upon awakening, you’ll laugh at your illusions, leaving only joy and lightness.
